Autoimmune Sisters launched in 2018

Hi. My name is Aimee and this is my brief story. Ever since high school (circa 1998), I knew my body reacted differently compared to those around me. My daily life included: forgetfulness, mood swings, “chronic fatigue syndrome”, hormone imbalances, waking up tired, bloated and food sensitivity. Plus, I always felt cold to the touch, had a low body temperature and injuries took forever to heal. I naturally felt better on a Paleo-ish diet (before Paleo was cool), 9-10 hours of sleep at night, long bike rides with heavy weight lifting. The Standard American Diet (SAD), HITT and running just made me feel even worse. I knew something more was going on, but I couldn’t figure it out and countless doctors couldn’t (or rather wouldn’t) either.

It wasn’t until 2010, that an endocrinologist diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s and immediately put me on synthetic medication toting instant relief. Relief never happened. It would take another 5 years to learn that changing my diet would eventually change my life. With an incredible amount of research and an unwillingness to give up, I eventually learned that chronic Epstein Barr Virus and methylation (MTHFR) issues were the root of my on-going, relentless symptoms.

Fast forward to 2021, I created The 21 Day Anti-Inflammatory Plan based on the methods we used to finally feel better again. This plan is a low-stress and completely doable approach to reducing inflammation and symptoms, so you can make the next best steps in healing your body.
