Autoimmune oophoritis occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the ovaries and causing inflammation. This disease is related to primary ovarian insufficiency. Unfortunately, the impact on your ovaries is that they do not work normally.

Autoimmune oophoritis is associated with Polyglandular Syndrome Type I and Type II. It has also been related to Pernicious Anemia, Lupus and Mysathenia Gravis.
