Evans Syndrome – Evans syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease in which the immune system mistakenly destroys the red blood cells, white blood cells and/or platelets. Those affected by Evans Syndrome often have too few blood platelets (known as thrombocytopenia) and early destruction of red blood cells (Coombs’ Positive Hemolytic Anemia).
