MEET CAMILLE

Hi! My name is Camille and I am 22 years old. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn’s Disease. It all started when I was training hard with my cross-country team and getting slower and slower. Eventually we had my first colonoscopy and was soon diagnosed. After taking care of my health through diet, rest, and medication I improved my 5K time by 15 minutes! Many were curious about my story and journey and that’s when I started my blog, blessinginthecurse.blogspot.com. I believe we all have a “curse” but with that one curse we each have many blessings. It is up to us to find them. I have a strong testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and know that He knows what I am going through.

 DIAGNOSIS

 LIFE CHANGE

Medical costs. Frequent Dr. visits. Taking time off from work. Pain while using the bathroom. A rare condition called erythema nodosum. Medication risks and side effects. Weight loss. Feeling tired often. Sadness.

 HEALING

My first and foremost method of healing is trusting in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that through the Atonement He knows exactly what I am facing. I also work as a health coach and find joy in helping other take care of their bodies. I enjoy sharing my story, serving others, and many aspects of wellness.

 STRUGGLE

I have recently started a biologic and with that comes learning about the side effects and getting sick more often. My disease isn’t in control, but is more manageable than it has been. I have learned this disease has a mind of its own and to trust the process.

 INSPIRATION

Because I know that I really can. And so can you!
