MEET DEBORAH
I am a single mom of my 26 year old son. We live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I’ve started a Virtual Assistant, Social Media and Marketing business, at home.
DIAGNOSIS
I was incorrectly diagnosed in 2006 and re-diagnosed in 2012 with Multiple Sclerosis. This has been a crazy and unpredictable journey. I originally was put onto MS Pharmaceutical medication but got terrible side effects, so was advised by a naturopath doctor that my body can heal itself and so took myself off the injections prescribed. I now listen to my body and only take vitamins and supplements that my body wants.
I take one day at a time, and don’t have anger, yes sure some days I get frustrated.
I believe that with the help of God / The Universe / The Divine my body will reverse the symptoms and heal, just as it was meant.
LIFE CHANGE
I no longer drive; I am a wheelchair user; I love to socialise and be in nature but am reliant on people to get me there.
I think MS has made me a little OCD as I can’t do a lot of things on my own.
HEALING
I use a couple of modalities like; energy healing, meditation, cbd oil, essential oil, bioresonance, exercise, journaling and diet, my not anyone specifically but have taken harmful food types out my diet.
Alternative healing has reduced my symptoms from approximately 30 down to 9.
My goal is to rewire my brain and to walk unassisted again.
STRUGGLE
I struggle to find regular work as I think people think that MS affects the brain but in my case it only has affected my legs, so currently, temporarily I’m a Wheelchair User.
